Riding on horseback through Kinnekullabygden is a fantastic experience. You can relax, rely on your horse and admire the stunning view over Lake Vänern.

The horse will find its own way. With us, Kinnekullabygdens Ridupplevelser, you can choose to ride with the Middle Ages as your theme, or perhaps the flower theme sounds more exciting? Both these hacks are led by experienced guides and are divided into small groups with a maximum of eight riders to ensure good contact with the guide. You can also choose a more traditional scenic hack that lasts for a couple of hours in which both horse riding and the countryside can be enjoyed. We offer these riding experiences separately or as packages.
The horses are of varying breeds and sizes, and they all have their own individual personalities. They are all well suited for hacking, and because they have different personalities we can match them to the needs of the riders. You are also very welcome to bring your own horse.

Riding through the Middle Ages

Follow the life of Swedish writer Jan Guillou’s character Arn Magnusson in Kinnekulla during medieval times. You will have the chance to visit several of the places mentioned in the novel and get to know more about what went on in the area in the dynamic period of the Middle Ages from your knowledgeable guide. The hack takes three days and includes 2 overnight stays. You live comfortably en suite in an old mansion with your own shower and toilet.

The price, SEK 4.500, includes 3 days’ riding and 2 nights’ full board and lodging. Good riding experience is required.

The Flower Hack

For two whole days, we ride through a magnificent array of flowers and plants. You are given the opportunity to admire and learn the various species of flower s and plants that you meet along the way with the assistance of a knowledgeable guide. You live comfortably en suite in an old mansion with your own shower and toilet.

The price, SEK 3.000, includes 2 days riding and 2 nights’ full board and lodging. No prior riding experience is required.

Directions:
From the E20 turn off towards Götene-Lidköping on Route 44. Drive for nearly 1 km, turn right to Hällekis. Drive straight on for 10 km and turn left towards Gössäter. Take the first left after 1 km, keep to the right through the woods and you will see the stable on the left-hand side.
